About The Role

We are looking for a creative and highly-skilled Web Developer to join the Zoo team! You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining a modern, high-quality web presence, intuitive user flows, and robust API connectivity. We have a fun and playful brand, so this is a great opportunity for you to flex your creative juices and developer skills to help us build and maintain a modern website for our users. This role is ideal for someone who gets excited about developing creative and complex websites, writes elegant code, and also cares deeply about delivering seamless, delightful user experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development of web experiences that are fast, accessible, and beautifully responsive across browsers and devices
  • Implement and maintain structured, scalable, and maintainable web architecture with clear organization and consistent conventions
  • Build and optimize user registration flows, pricing tiers, and other dynamic features with attention to performance and rigorous test coverage
  • Work closely with Marketing to translate high-fidelity mocks into pixel-perfect, standards-compliant HTML/CSS
  • Support the implementation of an intuitive and scalable CMS that makes content updates and site editing a seamless experience 
  • Integrate with REST APIs to power data-driven components and pages
  • Communicate trade-offs between flexibility, performance, and maintainability in a way that helps teams make informed decisions
  • Advocate for best practices around web development and user-centered design

What You’ll Need

  • B.S. Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Professional experience as a Web Developer building and maintaining custom, complex websites
  • Strong proficiency in Javascript, including Three.js
  • Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS, and Tailwind CSS 
  • Experience with REST APIs 
  • Proficiency with Github
  • Familiarity with Vercel
  • Familiarity with Figma
  • Prior experience optimizing websites across various browsers and devices 
  • Experience with setting up super seamless and tested user registration, pricing tiers, etc
  • Prior experience building out and managing a CMS such as Sanity
  • An eye for design and a knack for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences
  • Ability to create animations and assets optimized for performance and minimal page load time

 

The salary range for this role is provided below. The final offer will depend on multiple factors including candidate experience, skills, expertise, and market data. Compensation may vary by geography. In addition to salary, we offer competitive equity as well as a full benefits package which may vary by geography as well.

Salary Range
$125,000$155,000 USD
