Zoo Makeathon Official Contest Rules

ZOO MAKEATHON OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

NO ENTRY FEE. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

The Zoo Makeathon (the “Contest”), organized and sponsored by Zoo Corporation (“Zoo”), is a contest meant to highlight what happens when strong design instincts meet the powerful tooling available in the Zoo Design Studio. The objective of the Contest is to create a CAD design using Zoo Design Studio that inspires others to learn from, adapt, or expand upon your work. Your design can serve any industry, solve any problem, or explore an innovative concept. Successful entries will demonstrate creativity and technical skill that engage and inspire the broader design community. Please see the Official Contest Rules below for additional information.

The Contest begins on April 28, 2026 at 12:01 AM PT and ends on May 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT (the “Contest Period”).

1. Agreement to Official Contest Rules. By entering or participating in the Contest, you accept

and agree to be bound by these “Official Contest Rules.” IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES IN THEIR ENTIRETY, YOU MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST OR SUBMIT AN ENTRY (AS DEFINED BELOW).

[(excluding Puerto Rico and Quebec)], eighteen (18) or older, as of the date of entry, who have an active e-mail account and Internet access throughout the Contest Period (each, an “Entrant”). [Entrants under the age of 18 must have permission from their parents or legal guardians to participate.] Employees of Zoo and its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, fulfillment or other coordinating agencies, individuals providing services to Zoo through an outsourcer or temporary employment agency during the Contest Period, and their respective immediate family members and persons living in their same household, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law or regulation. Entrants must have a Zoo account to submit an Entry. Entries must be created from scratch by the Entrant in Zoo Design Studio using only tools available within the platform including, for example, Sketch Mode, KCL and Zookeeper. Entrants will receive Zookeeper reasoning time credits in Zoo Design Studio for use during the Contest Period. Upon conclusion of the Contest Period, each Entrants’ accounts will revert to the subscription tier held by such Entrant prior to the Contest Period.

3. How to Enter. All Entries must be submitted no later than the end of the Contest Period. You may enter the Contest as follows:

(a) Visit the Contest homepage located at https://www.zoo.dev/makeathon (the “Contest Website”) and follow the instructions on the Contest Website; (b) Publish your project to Zoo’s Aquarium page as a public sample and tag it “Makeathon” when uploaded (an “Entry”); (c) Share your Entry on either YouTube, Discord, X, LinkedIn or Instagram using the hashtag #ZooMakeathon.

[Only one Entry per person, household and/or e-mail address is permitted. Entrants submitting multiple entries or violating any of these Official Contest Rules may be disqualified.]

OR

[There is no limit on the number of Entries per Entrant during the Contest Period.]

4. Entry Requirements.By submitting an Entry, you represent and warrant that each Entry:

(a) was created during the Contest Period using only Zoo Design Studio; (b) is your original creation and does not infringe, misappropriate or violate a third party’s patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, moral rights or other proprietary or intellectual property rights, or rights of publicity or privacy (“Intellectual Property Rights”), or violate any applicable law or regulation; (c) has not been previously awarded a prize, or award during any other contest or promotion sponsored by Zoo or any third party; and (d) is not obscene, lewd, profane, pornographic, disparaging, indecent and does not describe illegal or other inappropriate or dangerous behavior. By publishing an Entry to Zoo’s Aquarium, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the Zoo Terms of Use, available at https://zoo.dev/terms-and-conditions#access-and-use-services, and the Aquarium Terms of Use, available at https://zoo.dev/aquarium-terms-of-use.

Zoo may disqualify and discard an Entry at any time if the Entry does not meet the criteria described in these Official Contest Rules. By submitting an Entry, you acknowledge that Zoo may obtain other Entries that are similar or identical in theme, format or other respects to that submitted by you. You acknowledge that Zoo does not waive any rights to use ideas, themes, or concepts previously known to Zoo, or developed by its employees, or obtained from sources other than the entrant, which may be similar to your Entry. You also agree that Entries may or may not be posted on the Contest Website or on the Zoo’s website, in Zoo’s sole discretion. By entering an Entry, you agree that Zoo is not responsible for any unauthorized use of Entries by third parties.

5. Rights in Entries Granted by You. Zoo owns all right, title and interest in its materials,

operational know-how and proprietary knowledge related thereto, including the Aquarium, its trademarks, service marks, logos, trade dress and service names. All intellectual property provided in connection with the Contest remains the sole property of Zoo. Entrants retain all ownership and intellectual property rights in their Entries. By submitting an Entry to the Contest, Entrants grant to Zoo a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free license, with the right to sublicense, to use, copy, modify, create derivative works based upon, distribute, publicly display, and publicly perform the Entry. Entrants acknowledge that when Entries are published to Aquarium, third parties will be able to copy, distribute and display the Entries for this purpose.

6. Judgement of Entries and Selection of the Winner. All qualified Entries will be judged by

Zoo’s [product development team], who are experts in the fields of [CAD samples]. Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

(a) 20% Execution: Is your Entry well designed and thoughtfully made? (b) 20% Originality: Is your Entry fresh, surprising, or worth talking about? (c) 20% Community Response: Does your Entry capture the attention of the CAD community and earn engagement (e.g., “likes” and downloads) on Aquarium? (d) 20% Purpose: Does your Entry solve a problem, serve a use case, or explore an idea in a meaningful way? (e) 20% Remixability: Will other people want to learn from your Entry, iterate on it, or build on it?

The Entrant whose Entry earns the highest overall score will win. The decisions of the judges will be final. If any ties must be broken to determine the winners, the judges will choose the winning Entry based on their sole discretion.

7. Prizes and Odds. A prize will be awarded to the three Entrants whose Entries earns the highest

total overall score as determined by the judges, and one Entrant whose Entry is determined to be “Best in Show” by the judges. The prizes are as follows: (a) First Place: (i) Bambu Lab H2C 3D Printer; (ii) Two (2) years of unlimited Zookeeper reasoning time in Zoo Design Studio; and (iii) Feature in Hardware.fyi’s newsletter. Total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of $4,000. (a) Second Place: (i) Bambu Lab H2D 3D Printer; and (ii) Two years of unlimited Zookeeper reasoning time in Zoo Design Studio. Total ARV of $3,600. (b) Third Place: (i) Two years of unlimited Zookeeper reasoning time in Zoo Design Studio. Total ARV of $1,500. (c) Best in Show: (i) Bambu Lab H2D 3D Printer; and (ii) Two years of unlimited Zookeeper reasoning time in Zoo Design Studio. Total ARV of $4,000. Total ARV of all prizes to be awarded: $13,100.

The odds of winning a prize depends on the total number of eligible Entries received and the skill of the Entrants. No cash or other substitution of prizes is permitted, except at the sole option of Zoo for a prize of equal or greater value. If the actual value of the prize is less than the stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded. Zoo will not replace any lost or stolen prizes. Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state, provincial and local taxes, if any, that apply to prizes. Allow [six (6) to eight (8)] weeks for delivery of prizes.

8. Notification of Winners. Winners will be notified by email within [five (5)] business days of

the winner’s selection, and may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release within seven (7) days of notification. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize and/or where applicable an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release is not timely received, is incomplete or modified, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected from remaining valid, eligible Entries timely submitted. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an Entry, the Entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email account specified in the Entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

9. Disclaimers.

(a) Zoo is not responsible for (i) late, lost, delayed, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or undeliverable entries or Entries, responses, or other correspondence; (ii) theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alterations of Entry materials; or (iii) phone, electrical, network, computer, hardware, software program or transmission malfunctions, failures or difficulties.

IN NO EVENT WILL ZOO BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, DATA, BUSINESS OR PROFITS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST, WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES FROM ANY CLAIM BASED UPON CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT ZOO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, ZOO’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU ARISING WITH RESPECT TO THESE OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES WILL NOT EXCEED $5.00. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Zoo and its parent, affiliates,

subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, sponsors and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, and assigns, and any other organizations related to the Contest, harmless, from any and all claims, injuries, damages, expenses or losses to person or property and/or liabilities of any nature that in any way arise from participation in this Contest or acceptance or use of a prize or parts thereof, including without limitation (a) any third party claims made in connection with your Entries, or any representations and warranties made by you in connection with your Entries; and (b) any injuries, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the Contest.

your name, photo and/or likeness, biographical information, and statements attributed to you as an entrant (if true) for advertising and promotional purposes, including without limitation, inclusion in Zoo’s newsletters, [the Contest Website] and Zoo’s homepage at zoo.dev, without additional compensation.

12. Additional Conditions. Zoo reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate, modify or

suspend the Contest in whole or in part, if in Zoo’s opinion (a) the Contest is not capable of running as planned by reason of the occurrence of any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, communications,  equipment failure, utility or service interruptions, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared), interference with the Promotion by any party, or any federal, state, local or provincial government law, order, or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Zoo’s control, or (b) any other factors beyond Zoo’s reasonable control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, in all instances without liability to the entrants. Zoo also reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant or winner, as determined by Zoo, in its sole discretion.

13. Governing Law and Choice of Forum. These Official Contest Rules are governed by the law

of the State of California, without reference to rules governing choice of laws. Any action, suit or case arising out of, or in connection with, this Contest or these Official Contest Rules must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

14. Personal Information. Zoo may collect personal data about entrants online, in accordance

with its Privacy Policy and as may be more specifically set forth in these Official Contest Rules. Please review these Official Contest Rules and Zoo’s privacy policy at https://zoo.dev/privacy-policy.

15. Winner’s List, Official Contest Rules. For a list of prize winners, send an email message to

makeathon@zoo.dev with “Winner’s list” as the email subject and the Contest name specified in the body of the email. Requests must be received within four (4) weeks of the end of the Contest Period.
